And now I think I will never knit again. It has taken me literally YEARS to get to grips with the art of the single needle, but this last weekend while I was getting over a bug and having some much needed rest I took up the crochet needle that had been languishing in my workbag and set to making some basic stitches. It feels a bit odd holding the yarn without having a needle to balance out the tension after so many years of knitting, but within an hour or so I was knocking out granny squares like this. The tensions needs a bit of work, and I’m still not sure where one stitch ends and another one starts – let alone how to read a proper crochet pattern without the careful editing of the stitch and bitch mavens but I can no longer claim to be unable to crochet. Damn.
All I need know is some patterns. Ravelree-ee?!
